Streaming Video from the Hytera VM780
Streaming video typically uses about 1GB/hour of cellular data.
A bodycam is not intended to constantly stream live video, but is primarily used to record video footage onto the device itself. The recording is started when the user presses a button on the bodycam.
The recordings conveniently include what the bodycam "saw" during the 30 seconds before and after the button was pressed, and the recordings are transferred to a computer by plugging in the bodycam via USB or by dropping it into a Hytera MCL30 Multi-Charger and extracting the video using Hytera HALO.
Although most bodycam video is recorded onto the device itself and not frequently live-streamed, an administrator (e.g., a dispatcher) can also “pull” a live video feed from a user’s bodycam remotely at any time—and the user can likewise send a live video stream to an administrator at will.
